Little do we know what will happen to the next generation of the Kia Soul EV. At the beginning of last year the Korean manufacturer suggested that it would have, like its competitors, an update that would not let it lose steam in the market, and so far, much more has been known about other electrical projects of the manufacturer than its current model.
Until today, the day we heard about a leak from a German supplier of the manufacturer. According to the document revealed, the Kia Soul EV will effectively experience an improvement in its battery pack. However, not too illusions, because the uncovered data is that it will go from a capacity of 27 kWh to 30 kWh.
The autonomy of the Korean model would be increased, but not to the level of other competitors 100% electrical. As the documentation also points out, the new number in the NEDC homologation cycle would remain around 250 kilometres.
Other details of the upcoming Soul EV battery indicate that it would gain 8 more cells, and to the same extent, its mass would increase up to 13 kg to 200 kg. We will see if Kia finishes confirming this information. If it does, Soul EV may not expect a promising future.
