Can Apple surprise us with the iPhone 8? All we know and what we need to know

From time to time, there comes a revolutionary product that changes everything. These were words of Steve Jobs before presenting the iPhone in 2007 as three revolutionary products: an iPod with touch screen and touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone and a revolutionary Internet communications device. Of course the iPhone changed everything, as there was nothing similar in the world until then and was available to everyone (who had 500 dollars to spend).

It has been 10 years, and Apple has introduced a new iPhone every year, usually with a new design every two years and with improvements over the previous generation in the following year. 2017 may be the year we see something different to change everything again, but we know so much of the iPhone 8 that little we may be surprised.

The design of the iPhone 8

According to rumors, Apple can launch three models this year: the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7s Plus, and a new model of 5.8 inches to celebrate the tenth anniversary. iPhone 8, iPhone Edition, iPhone X or as Apple wants to call it finely. It is expected to be completely rethought from scratch with a back glass cover like the iPhone 4. The screen is expected to arrive from edge to edge as in the Samsung Galaxy S8.

The second strong rumor of the iPhone 8 is the fact that it will not include physical start button. Apple plans to implement a kind of function area similar to the Touch Bar of the MacBook Pro. The Touch ID is not known if it finally stays in the back or Apple will implement it in this area of functions below the screen.

How will the camera of the next iPhone

Another important rumor is related to the camera of the device. On one side the front and on the other the back. On the front it is rumored that Apple will include an infrared sensor, thanks to this and Apple algorithms will allow you to capture 3D images and make use of that information for facial recognition, 3D selfies and more.

There are also rumors that Apple will implement Augmented Reality, for it will make use of the rear camera and a new layout of it. The two cameras currently with the iPhone 7 Plus will be relocated to line up vertically and have a greater separation between them. Thanks to this separation the iPhone will be able to capture 3D images to be used later for augmented reality.

Charging wirelessly on the iPhone 8

Apparently, Apple will finally include wireless charging on their phones. We’ve seen it for years on some Android, and in fact the Apple Watch has it. But for the iPhone 8 was expected a real wireless load, ie, allow the user to move the device away from the charger and not have it attached to it. It does not seem to be the case, but we will see a normal and normal wireless charge like the other phones.

Price and presentation of the tenth anniversary iPhone

If the rumors are true, the iPhone 8 could have an exit price higher than $ 1,000. This is due to the cost of manufacturing OLED panels and because it will include some components that make the product more expensive, such as AirPods.

As for its presentation, JPMorgan says it will be during the WWDC this year, that is, in a month-long month. But it would be very rare for us to see it here for the first time, it’s more likely that Apple will dedicate an entire keynote in September to put it up for sale in October or November.
